These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the GigKeys Car Rentals website (the “Website”), the 2027 waitlist, website calculators and informational tools, and other pre-launch communications provided by GigKeys Car Rentals (“GigKeys,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Website or submitting information through the waitlist, you agree to these Terms.
GigKeys is developing a vehicle rental service for rideshare, delivery, grocery, courier, and other eligible gig drivers, with a planned 2027 launch in Southern California. The service area, launch date, fleet, eligibility requirements, pricing, vehicle availability, included support, and operating policies are not final and may change.
Joining the waitlist expresses interest in GigKeys and allows us to send you launch-related information. Waitlist participation does not create a rental agreement, reservation, membership, credit approval, or guarantee of any kind.
When the fleet is ready, some waitlist participants may be invited to apply. Future applicants may be required to provide identity, driver’s license, insurance, payment, and other eligibility information. GigKeys may approve or decline an application based on its then-current requirements and applicable law. The specific age, driving-record, insurance, payment, geographic, platform, and other eligibility requirements will be stated when applications open. A waitlist submission is not an eligibility determination.
Any actual vehicle rental will require a separate written rental agreement. The final rental agreement will control the rental term, vehicle use, mileage, payment obligations, deposits, insurance requirements, maintenance procedures, damage responsibility, prohibited uses, termination rights, fees, and other rental specific terms. If these Website Terms conflict with a signed rental agreement, the signed rental agreement controls.
The Website may display target or estimated pricing, including a current target range of approximately $350 to $400 per week. Target pricing is for pre-launch planning and is not an offer, quote, or guarantee. Final pricing may vary by vehicle, location, insurance requirements, market conditions, taxes, fees, or other factors and will be disclosed before a rental is completed.
The Website may provide calculators or educational tools that estimate vehicle mileage, depreciation, maintenance, repairs, tire wear, or other costs. These tools are for general informational and comparison purposes only.
Drivers are responsible for complying with the rules of any rideshare, delivery, grocery, courier, or other platform they choose to use. Vehicle eligibility rules can vary by platform, city, market, vehicle, and date. Unless a final rental agreement states otherwise, drivers should expect to remain responsible for qualifying insurance, fuel or charging costs, tolls, tickets, cleanliness, safe operation, and platform compliance. GigKeys does not guarantee that any vehicle will qualify for every third-party platform.
GigKeys currently intends for its rental model to include scheduled maintenance, normal-wear tire support, mobile mechanic coordination, and weekly flexibility, subject to the final rental agreement. The scope, limits, exclusions, scheduling procedures, and availability of support will be defined in the final rental agreement and may change before launch.
By submitting the waitlist form, you consent to receive communications reasonably related to your waitlist status, launch, application opportunities, and service administration. If you separately opt in to marketing communications, you may also receive promotional email or SMS updates. You may withdraw marketing consent using the opt-out method included in the communication. The Website, GigKeys name, branding, text, graphics, layouts, calculators, and other original content are owned by or licensed to GigKeys and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the Website for personal, noncommercial informational purposes. No other license is granted unless GigKeys agrees in writing.
GigKeys may reference rideshare, delivery, courier, insurance, education, or other third-party companies and may link to third-party websites. GigKeys is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those companies unless expressly stated. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. GigKeys is not responsible for the content, policies, availability, eligibility rules, or services of third-party websites or platforms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Website, waitlist, calculators, and pre-launch information are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. GigKeys does not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted or error-free, that information will always be current, or that any user will qualify for or receive a vehicle.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GigKeys will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost income, lost profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, vehicle-related losses, or reliance on Website estimates or pre-launch information, arising from or related to your use of the Website or waitlist. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold GigKeys and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the Website, violation of these Terms, or submission of false or unauthorized information.
We may update these Terms as GigKeys develops its service, launches new features, or changes its legal or operational requirements. The revised Terms will be posted on the Website with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
GigKeys may restrict or terminate access to the Website, waitlist, or future application process if we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, misused our systems, submitted fraudulent information, or created a security or legal risk.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any rental-specific dispute terms, including any arbitration or venue provisions, will be stated separately in the final rental agreement if applicable.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
